I’m Chris Sterling, your new food service director. I hail from
Houston, TX. I developed my passion for cooking at an early
age. I started cooking in the military in 1995 and ever since
then, I have been developing and learning new ideas on how to
make people smile through my cooking. I’m married with 6 kids
that are my life and I am a man of God. I competed in the 1992
Olympic trials in track and field. My hobbies are coaching our
youth in track and field, or course cooking, and spending quality
family time. My goal is to provide excellent quality meals for
our residents. My motto in life is “Be better than you were
yesterday.”
I joined Stoney Brook as the Community Marketing Director in October of 2015. I moved to Texas from Southwestern, Pennsylvania. I have worked in the health care industry for over 24 years. Some of my roles include Quality Project Manager, Account Executive, Community Relations Specialist, Senior Services Case Manager, Hospice Account Executive and Certified Pharmacy Technician. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. I have also worked for the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) as the Voluntary Agency Liaison and began my career with them during Hurricane Katrina and have served on many natural disasters.
I enjoy spending all my spare time with my beautiful daughter, Lia. I currently reside in Killeen. I am very excited to be working for Stoney Brook Assisted Living and Memory Care and getting to know the people in our community.
My name is Bill Chasteen and I joined the Stoney Brook team in November 2017 at Copperas cove as their Maintenance Director.
I was in the US Army for over 22 years as a Fleet Mechanic providing support on several military campaigns. I earned my Bachelorette degree in Business management from Texas A&M Central Texas. I moved to Copperas Cove in 2006 with my wife and two boys, and I have loved Texas and its people ever since.
I joined the Stoney Brook family as Activity Director in September 2013. I come to Stoney Brook with over 25 years of experience working in health care. In 1995, I obtained my Activities Professionals Certificate from McClennan Community College in Waco. A Copperas Cove High School graduate, I have lived in this community since 1978.
When I am not dreaming up the next activity for our residents of Stoney Brook, I enjoy gardening, sports, and spending time with my three daughters.
I joined Stoney Brook as the Concierge in June of 2012. Before joining the Stoney Brook family I worked for Lacks for 2 years until they went out of business. I am originally from Seattle, Washington and moved to Killeen with my husband of 12 years who currently serves in the National Guard. As of April of 2016, I was promoted to the position of Business Office Associate. I am very excited about the opportunity to continue to grow in this industry and feel as though I have found my calling. I enjoy interacting with the residents and their families.
When I am not at Stoney Brook, I enjoy relaxing at home, watching TV and love on-line shopping. I have a dog name Snow White and a bird named Bird Man, even though after we named it, found out it was a female!
